About us

The Kindergarten of SFLS, with children from nearly ten countries and districts, was founded in September, 2001. The International Section of the kindergarten was set up in September, 2011. The Ideal Kindergarten of SFLS was founded in 2007.

The kindergarten is divided into the International Section and the Experimental Section. They have their own distinguished educational characteristics.

The kindergarten belongs to Suzhou Foreign Language School, so the children would have the resources of education towards primary schools and even further.

With the model of small class education, we provide a safe, healthy and humanized environment like a family.

With the four special activities as the main line of teaching, we have multi-cultural activities, celebration of classic festivals at home and abroad, special English education activities and social practice in our kindergarten. During the process of education, we take children’s formation of good habits and consciousness of international citizens seriously.

The curricula in the kindergarten is close to children’s practical lives. We pay attention to their own experience and think highly of their active exploration and cultivation.

In 2007, the kindergarten of SFLS is evaluated by the Department of Education and the Department of Health in Jiangsu Province as the first series of “Highly Qualified Kindergarten in Jiangsu Province” and “Healthy and Safe Kindergarten in Jiangsu Province”.

The development of the kindergarten of SFLS has been praised by all levels of leaders and the whole society.

The International Section

It is the “world” in which children can grow with increase in their wisdom.Our principles are
Making children have the consciousness of international citizens. Paying much attention to their learning of great Chinese traditional culture. Taking the development of their emotions and the cultivation of their characters seriously. Letting them get abilities in multi-directions and beneficial experience. We will work hard for a good foundation of their lives.

Children’s health, thinking abilities, communication and cooperation skills, good habits, consciousness of public rules and comity of nations.
In the circumstances combined by Chinese and western chracteristics, we would cultivate little internatioal citizens who have good characters and can reflect the great heritage of our nation.

The environment which we have brought forth

We have a central air conditioner, floor heating system and spacious aitivity rooms and bedrooms. We also have environment-friendly toys and teaching aids, electronic teaching equipment with a touch screen, standard runway and sport fields, professional and humanized activity rooms such as children’s Drawing Room, Games Room, DIY Food Room etc. We would supply the pre-school children with a humanized and family-style living environment.

The high quality of teachers we have installed at SFLS

We have professional educators and a great managing group to accompany the children study happily. There is one full-time foreign teacher, two Chinese teachers and one daycare worker in every class.

Our classes at various grade level

We receive normal children from 3 to 6 years old. There are no limits for nations, races or residences.

Open time: 7:30 --- 16:30.  

Parents—teachers communication

We support open and interactive communication between families and the kindergarten in the ways of Open Day, activities for parents and kids together, connection manuals, the official website, class blogs etc.
We encourage parents to take part in the management of our kindergarten in the ways of Parents’ Committee, parents volunteers , the group of mothers etc.

Teachers Evaluation System for their students

After the children’s entrance into the kindergarten, we would set up their individual growth archives untill they graduate from the top class.
We highly value the concern and evaluation of children’s development. We have a self-contained evaluation scheme for that, including the evaluation of children’s comprehensive quality and English learning for every semester etc.

The Experimental Section

It is the “Garden” in which the children shall develop their interest and enthusiasm to learn and shall actively search for knowledge for the rest of their lives.

Our garden-style kindergarten is bright and wide. We have got humanized Children’s Computer Room, Science Room, Art Roon, Drawing Room and varieties of outdoor activity places and sport equipment. We also have modern multi-functions hall for kids.
